ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday accepted the resignation of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) Chairman Nasser Jaffer who had resigned following the death of PIA employees during protests in Karachi.
Sources at the PM House said, additional charge of the PIA chairman has been assigned to Secretary Civil Aviation Irfan Elahi.
Sources went on to say Elahi will soon meet the premier and will give a briefing to him on the current situation to steer the PIA out of prevailing crisis.
